Elsie's Date Nut Bars

Another Christmas favorite--sweet and nutty.
ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cup sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups dates
- 2 cups nuts, chopped
directions
In food processor chop dates and nuts. In mixing bowl cream butter and then add sugar & eggs. Mix flour with baking powder and salt and add to butter mix. Stir in dates and nuts. Pour into prepared cookie sheet pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cut while hot and roll in powdered sugar.
