Hash Brown Potato Casserole
good for a crowd!
ingredients
- 2 LB. bag frozen hash brown potatoes (shredded potatoes)
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/4 t pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 pint sour cream
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
- TOPPING:
- 2 cups crushed corn flakes and 1/4 cup melted butter
- or
- 2 cup crushed Rice Chex cereal and 4 tablespoons melted butter
- or
- top with extra grated cheese.
directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter the baking dish. Thaw potatoes enough to work with. Mix ingredients and place in buttered dish. Place topping of choice on it and Bake 45 - 50 minutes.
