Peanut Butter Fudge

- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup peanut butter

Combine sugar, corn syrup, milk, and salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Cook to soft ball stage, 236°F, or until a small amount forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water . Remove from heat.

Add vanilla and peanut butter. Cool 5 minutes or until lukewarm. Beat until mixture is creamy and begins to thicken. Turn into buttered 9 x 5 x 3 inch pan. Cool, then cut into squares.
