No-Roll Sugar Cookies

ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt

Combine and mix all ingredients. Chill. Roll in balls. Press down with glass dipped in water and sugar.

Bake at 400 degrees for 6-8 minutes.
