Bacon and Swiss Quiche

ingredients

  • 10 inch frozen pie crust, deep dish style if available
  • 8 slices bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces, fried crisp, and drained
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded swiss cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • Hot pepper sauce to taste
  • 5 eggs lightly beaten
  • 3-4 green onions, sliced

To make ahead: Bake crust as directed. Prepare bacon as directed and set aside. Prepare egg mixture as directed above, then cover and refrigerate until ready to bake. When ready to bake, add bacon to pie crust, pour in egg mixture, bake as directed.
