Taco Salad
ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 6 o 8 dashes cumin powder (cominos)
- 1 (1-pound) box Velveeta
- 1 (10-ounce) can Rotel tomatoes
- 1 head lettuce
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1 (6-ounce) bag Fritos

In large skillet, brown meat well. Drain. Add chopped pepper and onion. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Brown a few minutes more. Add chili powder and cumin. Meanwhile, melt cheese over very low heat (or in microwave) and stir in tomatoes with green chilies. In large bowl, place in this order:

Lettuce, torn, in bite-sized pieces

Chopped tomatoes
- 4
Crumbled corn chips
- 5
Hot meat mixture
- 6
Hot cheese mixture
- 7
Serve immediately.
