Caesar Salad

It is so easy to make your own salad dressing. You will definitely impress your guests if you make this at the table.

ingredients

  • 1 garlic clove
  • 3 anchovies plus oil from the can
  • 3 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
  • juice from 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 T Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Wesson Oil
  • cracked pepper to taste
  • Romain Lettuce
  • Homemade Croutons
  • 1 egg yolk (room temperature)

    In a wooden salad bowl, rub garlic all over bowl to season it. Mince garlic in bowl, cut in anchovies to make a paste. Add mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and egg yolk. Mix well. Stir in vinegar, add olive oil, anchovy oil and Wesson oil.

    Add the Romain lettuce to sauce, toss to coat evenly. Top with croutons and cracked pepper
