ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef/turkey
  • 1 small onion or desired amount of minced onion
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 2 tbsp. mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. instant white rice
  • 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese

directions

  • 1

    Brown meat and onion in large skillet.

  • 2

    Stir in water, ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper; bring to a boil.

  • 3

    Stir in rice; cover and remove from heat.

  • 4

    Let stand for 5 mins and then sprinkle with cheese; cover until cheese melts.
