Bette Haynie's crab dip
A hot dip for a chafing dish
ingredients
- 3 large cream cheese pkgs.
- 1 lb. crab meat
- garlic
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 t mustard
- 2 t powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup sherry
- onion salt
- salt
directions
Pick crab meat clean of bits of shell. Mix ingredients in large bowl the night before. Place in chafing dish and heat when ready to serve. Great with crackers.

Our neighbor in Nassau Bay and great friend, Bettie Haynie, developed this great dip. I used it often until the leg of our chafing dish melted at one of our parties. But that's another story.
