EGG bake brunch

Judy Griffin recipe Breakfast/brunch Must be prepared & refrigerated overnight.

ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage, bacon or ham (cooked).
  • 8 slices of hearty bread like 12 grain.
  • quarter the bread.
  • 1/4 lb. monteray Jack cheese grated
  • 1/4 sharp cheddar cheese grated
  • 1/4 lb mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup onions, chopped
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • salt & pepper to taste

    Grease bottom of 9x13 baking dish.

    Place bread on bottom of dish

  • 3

    Layer cheeses, mushrooms, onions, and meat over bread.

  • 4

    Combine eggs, milk, salt and pepper and mix. Pour over top

  • 5

    Cover and refrigerate overnight.

  • 6

    Bake at 350° for 45-60 minutes or until center is set.

  • 7

    For all of you low carb people. This dish can be made without the bread. Juat spray the bottom of the dish with PAM.
