Spaghetti Pie

From the Holland High Booster Cookbook.

ingredients

  • 1 cup Ricotta
  • 6 oz spaghetti, cooked
  • 1/2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Filling:
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 3/4 lb Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • Topping:
  • Mozzarella

directions

  • 1

    To make crust: combine cooked spaghetti with other ingredients. Press into a 10" pie plate.

  • 2

    Cook meats and onion together, drain. Stir in remaining ingredients.

  • 3

    To assemble pie: Spread ricotta over crust. Top with filling and cover with mozzarella cheese

  • 4

    Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
