Pecan Sands
The Bootle Family standby. Small, round crunchy balls made with pecans and rolled with sugar. Cooking Notes: The dough is very crumbly. On my first attempt, I had to leave it in the fridge for 20 minutes to hydrate and then press really, really hard to get them to stay. However, I had rave reviews. In the end, I bowed to the pressure to sift the flour first and that made them hold together just enough.
