  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 375. Line cupcake pans with paper liners. In a medium bowl, cream together the sugar and butter. Beat in eggs. Add vanilla and milk and mix until blended. Mix in the flour, salt and baking powder until completely blended. Pour or spoon batter into cupcake pan, 1/3 full with batter. Bake until very lightly brown on top, about 20 minutes.
