Pennington Shrimp and Grits
ingredients
- 1 lb. uncooked shrimp
- 1 tsp. Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/8 cup butter
- 1 garlic clove
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. hot sauce
- 1 tsp. flour

directions
Thaw shrimp.Combine 3 seasonings and toss with shrimp. Melt butter in skillet on medium heat and add garlic for about 1 minute. Add shrimp, 3/4 of the broth, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Cook shrimp until pink, about 5 minutes. Remove shrimp from skillet but leave broth. Whisk flour with remaining 1/4 broth then add this to the skillet and whisk constantly for 2-3 minutes. Add shrimp and serve over grits.
