Buttermilk Pie
ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
directions
Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add flour, and beat until smooth. Add eggs; beat until combined. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla; beat well. Pour filling into pastry shell. Bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes; reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees and bake an additional 45 minutes or until set.
