Margarita Pizza
ingredients
- 12 ounce firm, ripe, plum tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic
- 12 fresh basil leaves, slice 6 inch thin strips
- 1/2 pound Mozzarella, thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons virgin olive oil
- salt
- fresh ground black pepper

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Peel, seed, and crush tomatoes. Add sliced basil leaves, garlic, 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt and pepper to taste; set aside

On your baking stone, or pizza pan, form the pizza dough into an 8-inch circle, turning up edges a bit.

Top with the tomato mixture. Evenly distribute the mozzarella over the pizza. Drizzle remaining olive oil over the pizza.

Bake in oven for 12-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
