Tom Hanson's Thai Appetizer
This appetizer combines all of the flavors: sweet, salty, sour, bitter and umami (savory). The hot chili peppers are cooled by yogurt.
ingredients
- 1 skinless chicken breast, cooked and pulled
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 8 oz. pkg. of tofu
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, separated into medium-sized leaves.
- 1 fresh lime, diced
- 1 large piece fresh ginger, diced
- Green and red chillies, diced, seeds and membranes removed
- 1 jar peanuts
- 1 package dried shrimp
- 1 package unsweetened coconut

1. Place tofu, chicken and yogurt into a blender and blend until smooth.

2. Put the mixture in a bowl in the center of the table.

3. Place the rest of the ingredients in individual bowls around the center bowl.

4. Take a piece of lettuce, fold it slightly and put a spoonful of the chicken/tofu in it.

5. Add small portions of the other 6 items onto the lettuce and tofu.

6. What you have is the Thai taste - sweet, sour, hot and spicy. The taste that has conquered the world!
