Heart Attack Taters
ingredients
- 10 pounds potatoes, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 T chopped garlic
- 2 cans mushroom soup
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 container sour cream
- 1 pound cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 can green chiles
- pepper, salt, cayenne to taste

1. Preheat oven to 350°.

2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes.

3. Drain, cool and chop.

4. Place potatoes, onions, and garlic in a 9x13 inch casserole dish.

5. In a medium saucepan combine soup, milk, sour cream, chilies, and pound of cheese; heat until cheese is melted.

6. Pour over potatoes. Dot with butter and covered with shredded cheese.

7. Bake for 1 hour.
