Trainer's Turkey Meatballs
ingredients
- 1 Pound extra lean ground turkey breast
- 2 Slices whole wheat sandwich bread (light and fluffy, not dense), torn into small pieces
- 2 Large egg whites, lightly beaten
- 1/2 Cup minced sweet yellow onion
- 1/3 Cup finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 Cup fat free milk
- 1/4 Cup fat free grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 Tablespoon garlic salt
- Nonstick cooking spray

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Spray a baking sheet or pan with cooking spray.

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until well combined. Shape meat mixture into balls 1 1/2 inches in diameter (or as desired) and place on prepared sheet or pan.

Place on lower rack in the oven and bake meatballs about 12 minutes (less time for balls smaller than 1 1/2 inches) or until no longer pink inside.

Remove meatballs from sheet or pan with a spatula.
