the best pecan crescent cookies
we found this recipe one year at christmas time, and it became one of audie’s favorites.
ingredients
- 2 cups flour, divided
- 1 cup pecans, toasted
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 sticks butter, softened
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
directions

in a food processor, combine 1 cup flour with the salt and nuts, and process till chopped fine.

in a large bowl, cream butter with sugar and vanilla. add nut mixture and remaining cup flour. mix well.

divide dough in half, and chill 1 hour.

working with 1 tablespoon at a time, roll into crescents and place on ungreased cookie sheets.

bake at 350 °F 15 to 18 minutes. do not brown. cool on pans 10 minutes. when completely cool, dust with powdered sugar.
