Champagne Punch
ingredients
- 3-4 cups of sugar
- 2 cups lemon juice
- 4 cups cubed can pineapple
- 1/2 quart ice water
- 1 bottle chilled Sauterne wine
- 2 large bottles chilled champagne
- 1 quart strawberries

Dissolve 3 cups sugar in lemon juice. Put pineapple in chilled punch bowl.

Add block of ice. Add water and wine, and then strawberries. Add champagne last.

Aunt Marie provided another version: 4 cups lemon juice, 2 bottles Sauterne wine, 4 bottles champagne and 1/2 cup strawberries.
