ingredients
- 1 c butter or margarine, softened
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1 c granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 t vanilla
- 2 t cream of tartar
- 2 t baking soda
- 1/2 t salt
- 3 c flour
- Granulated sugar
directions
Cream together margarine or butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in cream of tartar, baking soda, salt and flour, mix well. Shape into walnut size balls, roll in granulated sugar and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes. These cookies should be chewy when done, not crunchy.
