ingredients
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. ground veal
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 3/4 cup bread crumbs
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. pepper
- flour for dusting
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
- 1 green pepper, cut in strips
- 1 small tomato, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 cup dry white while
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- Salt
- Pepper

In a bowl combine the ground beef, veal, and pork with the bread crumbs, 4 cloves of the garlic, the eggs, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Form into cocktail-size meatballs. Dust with flour.

Heat the oil in a large skillet. Sauté the meatballs until well browned on all sides. Add the onion, the remaining clove of garlic, and the green pepper and cook until the onion is wilted. Add the tomato, wine, broth, salt, and pepper. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
