Spicy Chocolate Cookies

ingredients
Spicy Chocolate Cookies- 1.5 c flour
- 3/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper(more as desired)
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 c butter
- 4 c powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 fluid ounces heavy cream or milk or water
- (may cut ingredients by 1/4 or 1/2 as desired)

Cookie instructions
Combine first 6 ingredients (the dry ones) mixing with a whisk. In another bowl, beat butter and brown sugar till creamy. Add the egg and vanilla and beat on high til fluffy (about a minute). Gradually stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture til just incorporated. Roll into a cylinder about 1-2 inches in diameter on a piece of waxpaper. Refrigerate for 45 minutes. Preheat oven to 375. Cut dough into 1/4 in slices and cook on ungreased cookie sheet for 6-8 min. Frost with buttercream frosting when cool.
Frosting instructions
Cream butter until fluffy. Add powdered sugar-continue creaming until well blended. Add salt, vanilla, and cream- blend on low speed until moist. Add more cream a tsp at a time if needed. Beat at high speed until frosting is fluffy.
