Chicken Cacciatore
Like any slow-cooker recipe, this is great to make ahead of time, let it cook while you work!
ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Flour
- Salt & Pepper
- 3-4 Pounds of Chicken
- Olive Oil
- Red and/or Yellow peppers
- Yellow Onion
- Garlic
- 3/4 Dry Red Wine
- 3/4 Cup Chicken Broth
- 1 Can crushed roma tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp dried oregano
- Container of mushrooms

Mix the flour, salt, and pepper together
- 2
Coat the chicken pieces in the chicken and fry in oil over medium high heat - Cook until brown

Once brown, you can put these pieces in the slow cooker

Add the peppers, onion, and garlic to the frying pan and sauté until they are all a little soft

Pour in the wine and broth, deglaze the pan

Stir in tomatoes and oregano and simmer

Pour this mixture over the chicken and cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 8 hours

10 Minutes before you are going to eat the chicken, add in the mushrooms
