Green Beans with Toasted Garlic
ingredients
- 1 lb. green beans, tips and stems removed
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 5 cloves of garlic, diced
- pinch of thyme
- salt and pepper to taste

As a variation, you can add sliced, toasted almonds on top, or substitute the garlic with pancetta (an un-smoked cut of Italian bacon) cut into large dice, or thickly cut bacon. Omit the butter and olive oil if using bacon.
