Sesame Potato Salad
This ten year old recipe looks great and according to Mom tastes excellent.
ingredients
- 1.5 pounds potatoes
- 3 T vegetable oil
- 1/2 t sesame oil
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1 t whole mustard seed
- 1 t celery seed
- 1 medium onion, chopped fine
- 1/2 t fresh grated ginger
- 1 T minced green chile’s- canned or fresh
- 2 T chopped sweet red pepper or pimento
- 1/2 t ground turmeric
- 1/2 t coriander
- 1/2 t cumin
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 cup plain yogurt

Boil potatoes in skins until tender, not soft. Drain cool and peel. Cut into cubes and put in a bowl.

Heat the oils in skillet and stir fry the sesame thru salt. Add to potatoes and coat.

Mix the yogurt into potatoes. Refrigerate and serve.
