Grandma Mary's Crab Cakes
ingredients
- 1lb. cooked crab meat
- 4T. melted butter
- 1/2t. salt
- 1/8t. black pepper
- cayenne pepper
- eggs
- water
- oil
- bread crumbs (plain or italian)
directions
Mix crabmeat, butter, salt, pepper, & a pinch of cayenne pepper & enough of the eggs to mold into small flat cakes. Beat a little water into the remainder of the eggs. Wet the cakes with the egg mixture and roll in breadcrumbs. Sauté until brown in a heavy frying pan or deep-fry in an oiled frying basket
