The Original Chocolate Chip Cookie
Pan cookie variation: Grease a 15x10" jelly-roll pan. Prepare dough as below. Spread into prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack. Makes 4 dozen bars.
ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 t baking soda
- 1 t salt
- 2 sticks butter or margarine, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 t vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups (12 oz pkg) semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Preheat oven to 375’. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy.

Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels.

Drop by rounded T onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Cook on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
