Braised Fennel (with Parmesan optional)
Roasted Fennel
ingredients
- 1 fennel bulb per person
- 1 tsp olive oil
- salt and pepper
- grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Clean fennel by getting rid of feathery tops and tough outer pieces.

Cut in quarters and boil for 10 minutes--until tender when pierced with a fork

Drizzle oil in a baking dish

Add fennel turning to coat

Bake at 375° for 20 minutes

If adding cheese add in last 3-5 minutes so it can melt

This can also be made ahead and served at room temperature. This is a nice change and slightly unusual vegetable to serve guests
