Chex Muddy Buddies "Puppy Chow"

Makes 5 cups

ingredients

4 1/2 c. Chex (rice or corn) cereal
1/2 c. semi sweet chocolate chip morsels
1/4 c. peanut butter
2 T. margarine or butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. powdered sugar

directions

Measure cereal into large bowl and set aside. Heat chocolate chips, peanut butter, and margarine/butter in a 1 quart saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until melted. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Pour chocolate mixture over cereal in bowl, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into large plastic food storage bag, add powdered sugar. Seal bag closed, shake until coated. Spread on to cookie sheet to cool.
