Big Soft Sugar Cookies
Delicious and buttery
ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream

Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nutmeg; set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.

Beat in the egg, vanilla and sour cream until well blended.

Stir in the sifted ingredients.

Roll into 1 - 1/2“ balls and place about 1 1/2” apart on parchment lined cookie sheets.

Flatten with a fork or bottom of a glass dipped in granulated sugar.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

Allow cookies to cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack to cool completely.

Frost with Icing for Sugar Cookies.
