Tammy's Southern Pecan Pie
A very simple and delicious pecan pie made with all light corn syrup. I challenge Grandma (Peggy) Noble to a Cooking Channel style throw-down over this one. Make both pies, and see what you think!
ingredients
- 1 Pillsbury Pie Crust
- 3 Eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup broken pecans

1. Mix together eggs, sugar, corn syrup, butter, vanilla and pecan pieces.

2. Pour filling into prepared pie crust.

3. Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes.

4. Reduce heat to 350°F. Bake for 40 minutes longer or until the center is firm.

5. Cool to room temperature before cutting.
