  • For Tacos:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 12-ounce bottled chili sauce
  • For Serving:
  • Soft flour tortillas or crunchy corn pre-made taco shells
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Diced jalapeño peppers
  • Chopped black olives
  • Chopped onions
  • Shredded Mexican or Monterrey Jack cheese
  • Hot sauce or salsa

    In a frying pan, sauté meat over medium heat.

    Pour off all fat; also use a paper to blot off any remaining fat.

    Place meat in large saucepan or kettle, add the remaining ingredients and simmer for about 20 minutes.

    Each individual spoons meat into warmed soft tortilla or warmed crisp shell.

    Then add toppings per taste.
