ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • flat leaf parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper

directions

Heat the olive oil in a saute pan. Add the red pepper and garlic and heat for one minute until garlic is fragrant. Add the shrimp, lemon juice, sherry and paprika and saute briskly until the shrimp turn pink (2 to 4 minutes). Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle with parsley and serve hot with rice pilaf and crusty bread.
