ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 oz. melted chocolate
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. pecans
  • FROSTING
  • 5 tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. sugar

    Cream butter and sugar, beat until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, then flour and salt. Blend in nuts. Divide dough in half and add chocolate to half of dough. Spread white layer in 9 x 13" pan then spread chocolate mix on top. Bake 30 minutes at about 350 degrees.

    For frosting, combine flour and milk and mix vigorously. Cook over low heat, stiring until thick. Cool and add remaining ingredients. Beat 5 minutes and spread on bars. Very rich!
