Classic Spaghetti Sauce
A rich and savory spaghetti sauce!
ingredients
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 2 cups chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 green pepper
- 2 - 12 oz. cans tomato paste
- 1 4 oz. can mushrooms (drained)
- 3 T. brown sugar
- Salt to taste (start with 1 t.)
- 1/2 t. Tabasco
- 1 heaping t. oregano
- 1 heaping t. Italian seasoning
- 1/2 heaping t. sweet basil
- 1 heaping T. Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups water (may need more)
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 large bay leaf
directions
Brown beef, de-fat and drain. Add garlic and remaining ingredients. Simmer for 2 hours. Remove the bay leaf and skim fat.

Serve over your choice of pasta with garlic bread.
