Macaroni and Cheese That Melts in Your Mouth
ingredients
- 3 cups penne (make sure you measure! A whole box is too much and it’ll come out dry)
- 1 large egg
- 1 garlic clove, peeled and minced
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 2 cups gruyere cheese
- 3/4 c. grated parmesan
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper (white if you have it)
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 12 saltine crackers
directions
Boil noodles. Combine everything in a greased 9x13 or 8 cup casserole dish and bake for 25 min at 350. Crush crackers, add butter. Sprinkle cracker mixture on top and bake another 5 min.
