Pineapple Trifle
My mother would bring this dish to the other side of the family’s reunions we used to have every summer. I bring it to parties at my friends house. Everyone knows about it. Easy and delicious!
ingredients
- 1 store bought or homemade angel food cake
- 1 large can (approx 20 Ounces) of Crushed pineapple
- 1 small can (approx 8 Ounces) of mandarin orange segments
- 1 container of cool whip
- 1 large box of instant french vanilla pudding
directions

Mix and drain the fruit. Make the pudding according to it’s own directions. Set aside. Tear up half of the cake and place in the bottom of a serving bowl. Cover and spread with half of the pudding mixture. Next layer is half of the fruit mixture, spread out evenly. Repeat again: cake, pudding, fruit. Top off with all of the cool whip.

Either save some oranges or put walnuts, strawberries or anything to decorate the top with.

My birthday is July 8, 1988. This is the same time when we would have these family reunions for my mother’s side. This is where I got my first ice cream cake. My dad and my brother David went to the reunion while mom and I were still in the hospital, only a day or two after my birth. When Mr. Skinner found out that I was born he left the party and went to store and picked up an ice cream cake in celebration for my family. Ever since then I have always had ice cream cake for my birthday. And that is fine with me!
Another amazing summer treat...
Mix together one carton of cream cheese and one jar of marshmallow cream. Find some fresh strawberries or a clean finger and enjoy the best strawberry dip ever!
notes
This looks best in a clear glass bowl. The measurements on the fruit do not have to be exact.
