Mint BrowniesNancy Sargeant
A holiday favorite.
- 1 pkg. brownie mix
- 1/2 c. plus 6 TBLSP. margarine/butter
- 2 c. confectioners sugar
- 2 TBLSP. Creme de Menthe or mint flavoring
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
Preheat over to 350 degrees. Follow instructions on the box for brownies and bake only 15 minutes in 11 x 16 jelly roll pan. Refrigerate brownies. Combine 1/2 c. softened margarine with confectioners sugar and Creme de Menthe. Ice brownies and refrigerate. Mix 6 TBLSP. margarine and chocolate chips together and mix thoroughly. Dribble or spread over chilled brownies. Refrigerate. Cut into small squares.
If you use mint flavoring instead of the Creme de Menthe, then add a couple of drops of green food coloring to make the mixture green.
