Shrimp and Feta Pasta

I especially like this recipe because I get to light something on fire.

ingredients

  • 12 large shrimp
  • 2 T flour
  • 1 T melted butter
  • 1/4 C extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 C white wine
  • 1 t crushed garlic
  • 3/4 C diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 t crushed red pepper
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of oregano
  • 1 C marinara sauce
  • 1/2 C feta cheese
  • chopped parsley
  • 1 pound linguine, cooked al dente
  • grated romano cheese

directions

peel & devein shrimp; dredge in flour. Over med heat, heat butter & oil, add shrimp. Cook until light brown on one side, turn, drain excess oil and return to burner. Add wine, light with long match (COOL! FIRE!) When flame dies down, mourn it, then add garlic tomatoes red pepper salt and oregano. Add marinara sauce, simmer 3 mins. Remove from heat and add parsley and feta. Garnish with parsley and grated cheese.
