Southern Cream Salad

ingredients
- 1-8 oz package cream cheese, softened
- 1 large can crushed pineapple
- 1 tbsp. mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 container Cool Whip
- 1 bag miniature marshmallows
- 1 jar maraschino cherries
- 1 package slivered almonds (if desired)

Mix softened cream cheese with mayonnaise and lemon juice until smooth and creamy. Cut cherries into small pieces and add them along with the crushed pineapple to the cream cheese mixture. Mix thoroughly.

Add marshmallows and nuts if desired. Mix well. Add softened Cool Whip gently. Mix well and refrigerate.
notes
Recipe may be halved using 3 oz cream cheese.
