Chinese Salad
My favorite picnic salad. Everyone raves!
ingredients
Salad:- 1 lg. Chinese Cabbage (Bok Choy, or Napa Cabbage as well)
- 5 green onions (scallions)
- 2 pkgs. Ramen Noodles (discard seasoning pkt.)
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar or Splenda
- 2 tsp. soy sauce
- 1 cup oil (olive or canola)
directions
For Salad:
- 1
1. Cut cabbage fine. Dice green onions. Mix together. Put in fridge for 24 hours or overnight (covered).

2. Break Ramen Noodles into small chunks.

3. Brown noodles in butter. Add almonds and seeds. Brown lightly. Store this mixture for 2 hours or overnight in fridge.

4. Mix cabbage and noodle mixtures just before serving.

5. Add dressing and toss well.
For Dressing:
1. Mix together and shake well.

This is a great picnic salad. It makes a lot and everyone loves it!
