Olive Tapenade

This savory mixture is best served year round with a glass of your favorite wine!

ingredients

  • 1 medium jar roasted red peppers
  • 1 medium jar green spanish olives with pimentos
  • 1 medium jar kalamata olives pitted
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • cream cheese (you can use reduced fat or fat free and not compromise the ultimate flavor)
  • garlic - about 2 cloves diced
  • dried herbs - oregano, basil, parsley
  • melba toast rounds or crostini rounds made from fresh bread

directions

In your food processor pulse olives and peppers. Add evoo as needed. I like this recipe chunky so you can appreciate all the colors and flavors. When the mixture is the consistency you like, pour into a bowl and refrigerate until ready to serve. In a separate bowl mix cream cheese, garlic and herbs to taste. Spread this mixture on the rounds and top with olive mixture. Enjoy!
