Ann's Famous Rolls
ingredients
- 2 c. scalded milk
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. luke warm water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 7 1/2 to 8 c. flour
directions
Scald milk, pour over lard and sugar in large bowl. Stir and cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add yeast and 4 c. flour to milk mixture. Beat until smooth. Set aside in warm place to rise. Add eggs and salt and mix thoroughly. Add the rest of the flour, reserving 1 c. for kneading. Place in greased bowl. Let rise until doubled and is ready to be made into whatever you wish. Then let rise again. Bake at 350 to 375 degrees.
