Creamy Frozen Fruit Salad
Another childhood favorite from the Houston Junior League, 1968.
ingredients
- 2 c. sour cream
- 2 tbs. lemon juice
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1 can (8-1/2 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained
- 1/4 c. sliced maraschino cherries (or dates?)
- 1/4 c. chopped pecans
directions
Blend sour cream, lemon juice, sugar and salt. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into a 1-quart mold or 6 individual cupcake papers in muffin tin. Place in freezer until firm. Serve on crisp lettuce with mayonnaise if desired.
