Gorgonzola and Grape Salad
ingredients
Dressing:- 1/2 cup aged red wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 small shallots, minced
- 2 1/2 cups extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cups seedless green and red grapes, halved
- 1 cup Gorgonzola, crumbled
- 3 heads frissee lettuce, or other hearty green
- 20 cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/4 cup sugar

As you can see, I love fruit and strong cheeses in my salads. This is an easy and tasty start to a meal. The dressing needs to be made 24 hours in advance to accentuate the flavors.
