Lindsey's Other Green Bean Casserole
ingredients
- 1/3 stick butter
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 cups sliced green beans
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 (10 3/4 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (2.8 oz) can French-fried onion rings
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- pinch each of salt, black pepper and garlic powder
directions
Preheat oven to 350°. Melt butter in large skillet. Saute onions and mushrooms in butter. Boil green beans in chicken broth for 10 minutes and drain. Add green beans, mushroom soup, onion rings and salt, pepper and garlic powder, to taste, to the onion mixture. Stir well. Pour into a greased 1.5 quart baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes, then top with cheese and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
