Hunting Camp Beans
These beans are made on the stove top but have that “baked beans” taste. A nice variation.
ingredients
- 1/2 lb. bacon, cut up
- 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 1 medium onion, chopped or minced
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 TB white vinegar
- 1 TB liquid smoke (bottled)
- 2 15 oz. cans pork n beans
- 2 15 oz. cans kidney beans
- 1 15 oz. can butter beans
- 1 15 oz. can black beans
- salt and pepper to taste
directions
In a large frying pan, brown together the bacon, burger, and chopped onion. (add a little salt and pepper to this mixture while browning). Add remaining ingredients and simmer till flavors combine.
