Spiced Nuts
I love to have these out in a dish at Christmas. I got the recipe from Mark’s mom.
ingredients
- 1/2 Cup sugar
- 1/4 Cup butter
- 1/4 Cup orange juice
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp mace
- 1 lb. Pecans

Preheat oven to 250°

Line cookie sheet with non stick foil. Heat sugar, butter, salt, cinnamon, cayenne and mace in a heavy skillet over low heat until butter melts and sugar is dissolved. Increase heat to medium. Add nuts and toss until coated. Spread in a single layer on the cookie sheet. Bake 40-45 minutes, turning nuts once or twice. Separate and cool nuts.
